What does the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course involve?

This course is experiential and involves learning and practising different types of gentle mindful meditations and finding out about the background and theories of mindfulness. Most of the course relates to how to apply the practice of mindfulness to everyday life and to work.
Clinical research has shown that the regular practice of mindfulness leads to reduced stress and anxiety, improved well being and greater enjoyment of life.
To benefit fully from the course, it is recommended that each participant sets aside a half-hour each day to practise the meditation exercises learned during the course. It is also recommended that each participant commits to attending all of the 8 classes, as far as is practicable.
